China plans to launch its own version of BRAIN, or Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies, by the end of this year, said Muming Poo, director of the Institute of Neuroscience at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
中國科學(xué)院神經(jīng)科學(xué)研究所所長蒲慕明近日表示,中國計劃在今年年底之前推出自己的“腦計劃”,即“通過推動創(chuàng)新性神經(jīng)技術(shù)進行腦研究”的計劃。
The China Brain Project has been in planning for three years and is now included as a key science and technology project of the 13th Five Year Plan, Poo revealed.
蒲慕明透露,中國“腦計劃”已經(jīng)醞釀了三年,目前已被列入“十三五”規(guī)劃重大科技項目。
In 2015, Chinese scientists proposed targeted research into the neural basis of cognitive function, with the additional goals of improving diagnosis and prevention of brain diseases, and driving artificial intelligence research through computing and system simulation.
2015年,中國科學(xué)家提出就認知功能的神經(jīng)基礎(chǔ)展開針對性研究,其他目標(biāo)還有改善腦部疾病的診斷和預(yù)防,以及通過計算和系統(tǒng)模擬推進人工智能研究。
Poo said China's investment in the project would be equivalent to the amount allocated for theUS BRAIN initiative announced by the Obama administration in 2013, and that China wouldencourage private capital participation.
